The Fiasco

Now I haven’t missed having a phone as I have said, except on this one occasion.

I know he's laughing here but I wasn't at the time i can tell you.

I was about five minutes from home when a car pulled up next to me, "If this is someone wanting directions I’m going to give them the wrong ones", I viciously thought to myself.
It was my wife, she and the mother in law were laughing at me because I’d been waiting all that time before I decided to go home.
They told me they came out of the clinic at 3.30 and she never had to have the drops in the end so she was able to drive home, they said that they phoned my work and I obviously wasn’t given the message and of course, as I didn’t have a mobile they couldn’t contact me on that.
I got my own back though…..I told the mother in law that her hubby couldn’t be arsed answering the phone when I phoned, so she gave him a right rollicking over that, and I put it on with my wife by telling her that I was imagining that she had an accident and that despite their laughter at my situation, at the time I was deadly worried about what had happened.
She felt so guilty over that so she made the tea all night for a change!!
