Sun win Printers Cup

Sun Sports brought the St Barts Hospital Cup to Watford on Wednesday of last week as a result of a fine 4-1 win on the Dulwich Hamlet ground.
The cup - valued at £50 - is open to competition by all printing houses in London and the surrounding districts, proceeds being devoted to the St Bartholomew's Hospital Discretionary Fund.
For the first 20 minutes the "News" were the more aggressive side and gained an early lead.
Sun then began to settle down and goals by P Walker (2) and Ashcroft gave them a 3-1 interval lead.
"Digger" Doig, the Sun skipper, scored from the penalty spot to complete the scoring in the second half.
The two coaches which conveyed the team and their supporters bore the handsome trophy away in triumph, and the inevitable celebration which followed will be remembered for a long time to come.
