Met. Police Bushey 3 Sun Postal Sports 3 Aubrey Cup 1st Rd 1999/2000
A bad tempered cup game between Met police Bushey and Sun Postal Sports finished 3-3 after extra time.
Sun drew first blood when they slotted home a penalty, but Police levelled in the same fashion thanks to Rennie Grant and then took the lead with a Micky Poole header.
The game was even again at 2-2 when Sun equalised after 80 minutes and then controversially took the lead after Police were denied what they believed was a free kick, only for Sun to go straight up the other end and score.
As a result of some arguing, Police had a man sent off, but Victor St Ange kept their hopes alive with a superb diving volley for a 3-3 score after 90 minutes.
Police had their backs to the wall in extra time and show cased some tremendous performances, particularly from defender Matt Primus in his best game for the club, and also Kevin Ramsey and Chris Cutmore.
