Shock defeat for Sun

Underdogs Codicote Reserves strode to an extra time win over Sun Postal Sports Reserves in the Reserves Cup Final on Saturday at Whitewebbs.
Despite being a division lower, Codicote enjoyed a mixture of good luck and excellent football to produce the shock win.
Sun dominated the first half and took the lead before the break and, with many of the Codicote players aged 30 and over, it seemed as if Sun would run away with the clash in the second half.
Instead, Codicote levelled after 55 minutes and an even battle followed with both keepers performing well.
In extra time, Codicote took an early lead with a very good goal when the forward broke away and rounded the keeper.
Two minutes later, Sun were punished by a freak goal.
Codicote attacked and Sun cleared the ball to the half way line, Codicote then hoofed the ball forward, it bounced ten yards from goal and over the keeper's head, despite his desperate back pedalling.
Sun Sports were demoralised by this and two more Codicote goals followed in the second period of extra time - an own goal and a fifth on the stroke of full time.
