Sun Sports 2 Bushey Rangers 1 Herts County League Prem 1994/95
Slowly but surely Sun Sports are beginning to piece together the sort of form expected from champions.
They beat Bushey Rangers 2-1 on Saturday but spokesman Tom Barber conceded that the result was the best thing to come out of the encounter.
"We won but it was not a good spectacle. It was pretty awful really, very scrappy." he said.
Mark Ash put Sun ahead after 25 minutes, unleashing a long range effort that flew in.
Bushey, however, had gone into the game full of confidence and drew level through Ben Weavers.
The winner came 10 minutes from the end, substitute Phil Walker on hand to tuck away a rebound.
"We just can't seem to turn Sun over," said Bushey's John Burrows, "the lads were gutted, They really thought they'd get a result."
