Sun Sports 5 Wormley Rovers 1 Herts County League Prem 1994/95
Sun Sports are nine points behind the leaders but, considering the mountain they had to climb last season, that may seem a minor molehill.
In fact, they may well have set the alarm bells ringing among the other title chasers when they hammered Wormley Rovers 5-1 on Saturday.
"We only played well in patches but our midfield were magnificent again," said Sun's Tom Barber.
However, the game was not as one sided as the score suggests and it was only in the second half that they really got on top.
Sun went ahead after half an hour.
Greg Manning chipped a pass along the line, Richie Galvin crossed and Phil Walker took the ball first time before chipping the keeper.
However, Cuffley drew level before the break, only for Sun to score twice in the first seven minutes after the restart.
In the 47th minute Doug Taylor converted Manning's corner and five minutes later Walker scored from the spot following a handball.
It was 4-1 in the 68th minute when Darren Hardwick picked up a half cleared corner 20 yards out, charged straight through the Wormley defence and slotted past the keeper.
The cake was iced eight minutes from the end as Walker ran onto Taylor's pass and completed his hat trick.
