Striker John McKell made a happy return to Leavesden, his former club, by scoring the only goal of the game to keep Sun on course for promotion to the Premier Division.
McKell's goal came after 20 minutes.
The Leavesden defence was caught square and McKell raced onto the ball to beat the advancing goalkeeper.
Leavesden manager Brian Lewis was not too impressed.
"I know I say this every week, but we should have won. We dominated the game but couldn't put the ball in the net.]
Jes Day was the main culprit, he missed three glaring chances to bring Leavesden level.
