With Elliott Star out of the way, Sun Postal have an outstanding chance of picking up some silverware in the Herts Senior Trophy.
While Sun were crushing Wornley 6-2, Star were suffering their first defeat of the season as they were knocked out 2-0 by Cuffley.
"The league looks a forgone conclusion but this win and Elliott Star's defeat gives us something to go for," said Sun manager Terry Hows.
Doug Taylor led the rout with two goals while Darren Grieves marked his return to fitness by also getting on the scoresheet.
