Sun Sports 1 Oxhey Jets 3                                1992/93                              HCL Prem

Two scoring debuts were the highlight of a fine 3-1 win at Sun Sports.
It would have been a major surprise had it not been for the fact that Oxhey so often seem to turn it on against the better sides and fail against the rest.
Andy McShannon marked his debut since joining form Evergreen with a goal, while Andy Brodie, promoted from the reserves, also netted on his first appearance.
Sun started the better and could have been three up in the first ten minutes, the rest of the game belonged to Jets although they had to wait until the 43rd minute to score when Paul Shippey headed over the line.
A minute later McShannon scored a killer blow to send the Jets 2-0 up at the break.
Ten minutes into the second period the Sun appeared to be as good as buried but Mark Graham's 35 yard effort was ruled out for offside.
Silver Fox Joe Maguire lost his marker in the 70th minute to pull one back for Sun and give them hope.
The Jets held on though, and Brodie just made sure with the third two minutes from time.
"We are totally inconsistent," commented the Sun's Tom Barber.
"We didn't play at all well and Oxhey deserved their win."
