Sun Postal strengthened their position in second place with a 2-0 win over St Peters, but manager Terry Hows admitted it was something of an off day.
"We weren't at our best," he said, "We struggled for the first 45 minutes and it might have been different against a stronger team."
The introduction of Alan Dunton at half time appeared to make a telling difference for Sun, his pace causing problems for the St Peters defence.
Darren Grieves scored both Sun goals, curling home a free kick for the opener before climbing well to head home the second at the back post.
