Sun Sports 1 Cockfosters 3                              1980/81                            Herts Intermediate Cup

Sun, having gone ahead through Barry Smith in the 84th minute, were just two minutes from providing the cup shock of the round when Cockfosters grabbed a face saving equaliser.
Then, in extra time, the County League champions hit two more.
Sun manager Keith Hargreaves said. "You need a little bit of luck in football and we didn't get any on Saturday."
Goalkeeper Gary Boarder had Cockfosters second goal covered when it struck a divot and veered away.
"It was like a leg break, " said Hargreaves, "There's nothing you can do to stop that sort of goal."
To make matters worse, Sun missed a penalty in extra time.
John McKell's spot kick being saved by the Cockfosters' goalkeeper.
The defeat did not leave Hargreaves too defected however.
"I think it's proved that if we get promotion this season, we will be able to hold our own in the premier." he said.
