Bovingdon show more polish
Unpredictable Bovingdon gave their most polished display of the season to hold Sun Sports 2-2 on Saturday.
And with better finishing in the closing stages they could have become the first team to beat Sun.
Sun's coloured winger Rupert Brown and Bovingdon's veteran centre back Ray Hoar were both booked after a first half incident but it was generally a bright and entertaining game.
Brown's speed marked him down as the dangerman against Bovingdon's pedestrian defence and it was he who opened the scoring.
But the villagers, who have mixed some fine wins with some heavy losses in a topsy-turvey start, scored twice and led before Dennis Fletcher headed the equaliser soon after the interval.
