Pre Season Preview                                            1984/85                                      HCL Prem

Sun Sports

Sun Sports have been so short of funds that they have had to move outside the printing umbrella for increased revenue.
This season they will be sponsored by local firm, Décor Tiles.
Says manager Graham Legg: "I think we can meet the requirements with duckboards and portable dugouts."
"Our dressing rooms have been re-done and there will be no problem on that score."
It will be harder for clubs who use council pitches but even with us, we will be stuck for covered accommodation."
The County League will be prepared to entertain portable covered accommodation and Sun, whose ground has been roped off for years, will have to invest in more effective roping in order to conform with the requirements.
"It's difficult to know how things will go for us in the County League.
We have lost a few players over the past couple of seasons because they want to go and watch Watford now they are in the First Division, " adds the Sun boss.
Sun Sports manager Graham Legg wouldn't bank on his side at home last season.
"We only won three down the Sun all year," said Legg, "If we can get that right I'm sure we can have a go at the title."
Always a difficult side to beat, Sun invariably beat the good sides and drop "silly" points to the struggling teams.
"It's something we've got to get right if we want to win anything," said Legg, who has striker Roger Cowan back leading the attack and goalkeeper Gary Boarder back between the sticks.
