Sun Sports 2 Bedmond Social 1 1987/88 Aubrey Cup
Big Pete Henney ended Bedmond's dreams of success in this year's Aubrey Cup when he struck an extra time winner in extra time on Saturday.
Henney, a late substitute, came on to crash home a shot from the edge of the box to give Sun a 2-1 win and put them into the third round of the competition.
Bedmond's cause was not helped when their giant defender, six-foot plus Jim Carson, was sent off for tangling with Sun goalkeeper Vernon Thomas in the box.
Referee Geoff Fellows dismissed Carson 20 minutes form the end of normal time and booked Thomas.
Earlier, Tony Quarlena put Sun ahead but Bedmond equalised through Chris Swann who headed home following a corner.
Sun boss Doug Davies said: "We were worthy winners, We hit the woodwork three times and I think they just had two chances in the game."
