Davies hits out at his "gutless" side
Sun Sports' manager Doug Davies was disgusted with his side's lack of commitment against London Colney on Saturday.
Sun lost 4-2 and Davies stormed: "We've got to start showing a bit more blood and guts. There was a general lack of effort on Saturday.
Sun were 3-0 down at the interval, with John Coffer, Steve Sapsford and Des Sonner all finding the net.
Sun's problems were not helped by a goalkeeping crisis.
Davies was forced to blood teenager Angus Mathe for his first game in the first team because Vernon Thomas is serving a Herts FA suspension.
Davies launched into his team at the interval and sparked a second half revival.
Ian Thomas and Brian Ashby both scored to make it 3-2 before Gary Bremner reasserted Colney's authority.
The Sun boss is hoping to sign on former Bovingdon goalkeeper Graham Cracknell this week and he added: We still need a couple more players to mount a serious challenge this season."
