Sun Sports 2 Sandridge Rovers 4                             1984/85                                 Aubrey Cup

Sun Sports' dreams of a league and cup double ended on Saturday when they were beaten 4-2 by Sandridge Rovers.
"We've had a good run and I suppose it had to end sometime," said Sun boss Graham Legg.
In fact, Sun's fine recent performances have taken them to within striking distance of the top clubs and they were hoping for victory on Saturday to set themselves up for a good run in the Aubrey Cup.
However, without the services of Willy Ahearn - he dislocated his shoulder in the game at Rolls Royce last week - Sun lacked fire power against Sandridge, despite taking the lead within the first few minutes.
Dave Churchill snapped up the gift after the Sandridge goalkeeper had let a cross slip through his grasp.
Churchill added a second in the second half, but by then Sun were 3-1 down and were out of the competition when the visitors scored a fourth.
"I was disappointed," said Legg, "but take nothing away from them. They worked hard and fully deserved to win.
We've got to make sure we get it right in the league."
The one good piece of news for Sun was that leaders Cockfosters dropped a point, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Rolls Royce.
