Sun Sports 3 Bedmond Social 1                             1989/90                                HCL Prem

Sun Sports put even more pressure on the teams vying for the title in the Herts County League Premier Division with a fine 3-1 victory over Bedmond Social on Saturday.
But what made the win even more special was that it was achieved by 10 men.
Sports' Dave O'Reilly was sent off for dissent after only 12 minutes so his side played out 78 minutes with a man short.
But Sun Sports know they must keep winning games because the situation at the top is so tight that even they can clinch the much vaunted prize.
Bedmond did not play well at all and Sun Sports took advantage of that on only 10 minutes when Mark Anderson converted a penalty.
Bedmond themselves were awarded a spot kick later and it was then that O'Reilly got his marching orders for speaking too harshly about the decision.
And Peter Balmer struck the ball well to put his side on level terms.
But the old adage that "10 men are notoriously difficult to beat" rang true four minutes before the break when Tony Seabrook scored with a free kick.
And then on 78 minutes Sports wrapped it up with a Neil Border goal.

There were plenty of goals for Sun Sports Reserves too - four in fact.
but they still ended up on the wrong end of a 5-4 result at Wellcome.
