Veteran Jimmy Totten continued to help Sun Sports move away from the foot of the Premier Division.
The tireless midfielder, close to his 40th birthday, scored the only goal of the game to give Sun a vital 1-0 win at Colney Heath.
Totten struck in the 39th minute, following up a shot to head home.
goalkeeper Dave Vart, so consistent this season, pulled off a string of fine saves to keep Sun in front after the front men had missed several chances to put the game beyond doubt.
We've won seven out of our last nine games now," said Sun boss Doug Davies.
"Having been down the foot of the table for so long it would be nice to win our last four matches and finish well up the table."
