Leavesden Hospital 4 Sun Sports 3                        1973/74                                    HCL Prem

Debutant Lindsay Cornock rekindled the Leavesden Hospital fire on Saturday, and drove Sun Sports to their first Premier Division defeat since August 28th.
Cornock, the creative ex Kings Langley striker, shot Leavesden into a first minute lead.
And when Graham King seized on a slip by Sun pivot Bob Petty to hit the second after three minutes, a sensation was on the cards.
But a penalty from Joe Harper and a second goal in two first team appearances for Johnny Aldridge left it all square at half time, with Sun looking ready for the kill.
Five minutes into the second half, Cornock laid on King's second goal to put Leavesden ahead again, and when Roger Birch was uncharacteristically caught in possession, it was Cornock who crossed for Rob Brimson to side foot number four.
Ray Cole retrieved one goal five minutes from time, but Sun had to face the reality of defeat for the first time in 18 league matches.
And now manager Terry Rogers sadly admits; "Our championship hopes are over. I thought we had a chance if we won this one, but I must be realistic now."
