Rolls Royce 1 Sun Sports 3 1990/91 HCL Prem
Sun Sports are the team of the moment in the Premier Division.
Following last week's magnificent 3-2 win at Elliott Star they gained a 3-1 victory at Rolls Royce on Saturday.
Sun took the lead on 25 minutes and extended their advantage on 44 minutes.
However, Rolls replied immediately with Darren Hardwick firing home a "blockbuster" shot which left Sun goalkeeper Stuart Greaves standing.
Another former Rolls player, Andy Woods, scored for Sun with Joe Maguire also making the scoresheet.
Rolls looked on top in the first 15 minutes of the second half and went all out for the equaliser.
But Sun scored a third goal through Tony Price on the break.
Rolls' manager Alan Childs admitted: "I was disappointed we didn't win but Sun took their chances which is after all what matters. We had one or two good chances and their keeper was forced to make some good saves."
"Darren Hardwick missed an open goal before they opened the scoring and that might have changed things, although he made up for it with a goal later. our problem is that we are not as tight at the back as we were."
It was also a good weekend for Sun Reserves as they overcame Little Gaddesden Reserves 4-1 in the second round of the Reserve Cup.
Sun were two goals ahead after seven minutes with goals from John White and Jim Harrison.
Harrison then grabbed his double before Little Gaddesden pulled one back as the home side sat on their lead.
Paul Barrett scored the other goal for the Sun.
