Sun Sports, with Seamus Byrne back after injury, beat Rolls Royce 1-0 thanks to a Mick Purkiss goal in the 75th minute.
"We should have been three or four nil up at the break," said Sun boss Dave Males.
But in the end, Rolls may have snatched a point.
In a last ditch scramble, Rolls twice hit the post and Ray Longhurst had a shot turned around by Sun  goalkeeper Peter Lloyd.
 "I think we were worth a point on our second half showing," said Rolls manager Alan Childs, who is now looking uncomfortably over his shoulder at the relegation area.
