Manager Dave Males is just one step away from leading his side out in the Aubrey Cup Final after Saturday's quarter final success at Herts Police.
Males, who was in charge of Leavesden Hospital when they last won the Herts Senior County League's major cup, is keen to repeat that achievement with Sun Sports, the side he inherited earlier in the season.
Males took over from Doug Davies back in September and has continued the good work laid down by Davies during the past two seasons.
Sun were well worth their 3-0 win at Division One Herts Police on Saturday.
Brian Ashby, back after a skiing holiday in Scotland, proved that he lost none of his sharpness by scoring two goals with John White chipping in with the other.
"It wasn't a classic by any means," said Males.
"The pitch was on a hill and the wind made control difficult but we got the result and that's what is important."
Sun will meet Park Street in the semi-final later this year.
The Street booked their last four place with a 1-0 win over Second Division Evergreen.
