Sun Sports 2 Welwyn Garden City 0 1981/82 HCL Prem
Sun Sports' magnificent return to the Premier Division continued with their 2-0 defeat of Welwyn...a result that put them proudly at the top of the league on Saturday evening.
But happy manager Dave Eldridge was under no illusions about the hard task still facing his side.
"It has been a great start, more than I could have hoped for, but we must not get carried away. We've got some very hard games in the next few days, including Cockfosters and Bedmond, and we'll know much more about our chances after that," he said.
But the 29 year old new Sun boss could not help being satisfied with his side's 100 per cent opening during which they did not concede a goal.
Striker Tony Duckett scored Sun's second against Welwyn to take his tally to four in the opening three games.
But he will be missing for the next few games as he is now away on holiday.
Teenager Neil Border - a member of Sun's third team last season - maintained his impressive form in midfield.
