Sun Sports manager Dave Males felt his side should have grabbed all three points against Wingate after watching the 3-3 draw.
"It was like Christmas at the back," said Males.
Phil Carter, with two fine strikes and then Brian Ashby gave Sun a 3-2 lead but a long punt from the Wingate goalkeeper in the 86th minute put Sun under pressure at the back and the visitors snatched an equaliser.
