Sun Sports 4 Kew Association 4 1978/79 FA Vase 1st Round
Sun's comeback right on Kew
Sun Sports manager Graham Seabrook described his team's 4-4 draw with Kew Association in the FA Vase as the best comeback he had seen from a Sun side.
Trailing 1-3 just after the interval, Sun looked down and out of the competition.
Denny Fletcher had missed a penalty after Mark East had been brought down inside the box and their run in this year's Vase looked to be short lived.
But they bravely fought back and a superb near post header from Kevin McKenna and a clever lob from full back Graham Legg put them level - and the chance of a replay at Richmond tomorrow.
In extra time, however, Seabrook's men could have sewn it up.
Kevin McKenna gave them the lead, but in the dying minutes in true cup-tie style Kew struck an equaliser.
