Sun Sports put the County League Reserves Cup in their showcase for the first time in ten years when they beat Bushey Rangers Reserves 3-1 in the final at Leavesden Hospital on Tuesday night.
The victory made relegation from Division one a little easier to swallow for Sun, who at last had something to celebrate.
They were well on top from the start and a goal by Alan Hall after only four minutes set them on the path to success.
Bushey enjoyed a short lived revival just after the interval when lance Usher pulled the ball down in the box and poked a shot just inside the post to level.
But a minute later Sun were back in front.
Graham Legg swung over a corner and centre half John Eldridge rose to head home.
Ten minutes from time Rupert Brown made sure of the success, racing onto a through ball from Alan Hall.
