Bedmond 1 Sun Sports 2 1987/88 St Mary's Cup Semi-Final
Although their league programme is over, Sun have reached the final of the St Mary's Cup, and will play Vauxhall Opel League Berkhamsted Town at either Tring or Berkhamsted on May 7th.
Sun won 3-1 at Bedmond Social in the semi final on Tuesday.
The match saw a strong Sun fight back and produced two quality goals, one from each side.
First, Nicky Jones put Bedmond in front just after half time, with a goal Davies described as "Tremendous" and "The sort that wins matches".
But Bedmond then seemed to relax, and Sun equalised through Tony Farrell.
Seven minutes from time they sealed the match with a superb strike by Paul Foster, an 18 year old making his first team debut.
Foster ran from the halfway line, outpacing a defender before shooting home for the edge of the area.
Sun had earlier knocked out Vauxhall Opel League strugglers Hemel Hempstead Town.
