Cockfosters, the most confident team in the league since Christmas, beat last year's defeated finalists, Sun Sports, 2-1.
Sun were pipped by an injury time goal after 90 per cent of the play.
Cockfosters went ahead after ten minutes with a Kenny Littleboy own goal but were rarely seen in the game after that.
Barry Smith, who along with Denny Fletcher and Frankie Woolner, dominated in midfield, equalised after 30 minutes and from then on it was all Sun.
But they failed to achieve what the game is all about, putting the ball in the net, and it was Cockfosters who made the final with their injury time goal.
