Crash hits Sun
Three Sun Sports players were involved in a car crash last Friday night.
One of them, striker John Aldridge, will not play again his season after breaking and arm and his collar bone and suffering serious facial lacerations.
Talented schemer John Reeve will be out for a month with a neck injury, but the third player, Steve Devereux, was only shaken up by the crash.
The enforced reorganisation for the following day's fixtures hit Sun Reserves, who struggled to beat lowly London Colney Reserves 3-2 in Division One of the Herts County League.
Tony Evident, whose availability is restricted by Fire Brigade duties, was the Sun star, displaying all his considerable skills in a memorable performance.
Goal of the game came from Frankie Woolner who beat two men before bending a powerful 20 yard shot into the net.
