Sun Sports 0 Harefield United 4                                1989/90                             FA Vase 1st Round

Sun Sports' giant killing FA Vase run ended on Saturday when Vauxhall League Division Two South Harefield United won 4-0 at Bellmountwood Avenue.
Sun had previously eliminated Spartan League Premier Division Barkingside 1-0 and Vauxhall League Division Two North Vauxhall Motors 2-0.
But this time they failed to play with the same discipline, and slipped out of contention after Dean Cripps' 15 yard piledriver was disallowed after 15 minutes.
Harefield replied with an immediate goal and struck three more in the second half to move into round two.
"After our goal was disallowed we completely went to pieces," said Sun manger Dave Males.
"We did not play as well as in the previous round against Vauxhall and the players are very disappointed. We were beaten by a better side, but they weren't so much better that we couldn't put up a stronger show."
But Sun's season is far from over as they have made progress in the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy, the Aubrey Cup, the St Mary's Cup and the Apsley Cup.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Sun travel to relegation threatened Oxhey Jets having signed midfield Stewart Kent from Rolls Royce.
