Sun Sports 4 Boreham Wood Rangers 0               1973/74                                     HCL Prem

Sun move up to third place

Sun Sports stepped up to third place in the clustered top half of the Herts County League Premier Division with a conclusive 4-0 drubbing of Boreham Wood Rangers on Saturday.
Despite disappointing form in cup matches, Sun continue to impress in the league and Saturday's display not only extended their unbeaten run to 14 games, but also pleased manager Terry Rogers.
Rogers, disappointed and ready to make changes after the previous week's Aubrey Cup exit, confirmed that he was delighted with the improvement.
And although Knebworth and Rolls (Royce) remain as firm favourites to contest the title.
Sun - without any cup distractions - cannot be discounted yet.
Two goals in each half, including a first ever Premier Division goal for teenager Alan Potts, amply reflected Sun's authority over rangers.
One of the brightest spots of the win was the showing of Paul Savina, in his first senior game since re-signing from Rolls.
