Sun Sports 3 Tabulator Sports 1                        1960/61                                       HCL Prem

An impressive start

Sun Sports have made an impressive start in the Premier Division of the  County League.
They won their first match, shared four goals with Boreham Wood Saints on Wednesday last and on Saturday convincingly beat Tabulators, the score hardly reflecting their superiority.
Resolute tackling by the Sun defenders paved the way for the latest success.
In the first half they faced a stiff breeze, and had their defensive measures been less sure, it is probable that they would have been trailing at the interval.
As it was, they were in the lead by one goal, with Terry Hogan the marksman.
He has scored five goals already this season, having notched a hat-trick in the first match, one against the "Saints" and one on Saturday.
The only other Sun first team player t have found the target this season is Phil Bass.
He got Sun's second in the 60th minute after Hogan had done the spade work.
Tabulators effected a comeback when defensive hesitation let them in three minutes later, but Sun were bent on victory.
They deserved a further goal too, but they had to wait until five minutes from the end.
Then the visiting left half was forced to make a hasty stab at the ball and he put through his own goal.
