Sun Sports 5 North Mymms 1 1967/68 HCL Prem
Easy for the Sun
High riding Sun Sports had little difficulty in disposing of bottom of the table North Mymms in the Premier Division on Saturday.
With a defence that was unwieldly and slow on the turn, the visitors never had a chance and it was only Sun's poor finishing that prevented a goal riot.
Terry Reynolds opened the scoring in spectacular fashion after 13 minutes.
He tried an overhead kick from the edge of the penalty area and the ball sailed into the net.
Kevin Stratford added the second and Colin Brown made it 3-0 by half time.
The standard of play fell appreciably at the start of the second half and it needed a goal from North Mymms, scored by Harris, to liven things up.
Sun's fourth came from John Matthews following a determined run and shot which just eluded the 'keeper.
Two minutes from time, the scoring was complete when Dave Scutchings lobbed a shot over the defence and just under the crossbar.
It was not a good match for the Sun's forwards but the defence was sound enough to boost Sun's points total to 13 from seven games.
