Sun keep that record
Two first half goals put Sun well on the way to maintaining their 100 per cent league record at home and completing the "double" over Colney Heath in Saturday's Herts County League Premier Division encounter.
The Sun pitch was in good condition despite the incessant rain during the week.
The home side played good football and were rarely in trouble.
Sun made three changes because of injury but this did not seem to upset the team's balance and they produced most of the attacking football and were rarely worried in defence.
It was midway through the first half before Sun went ahead when Terry Reynolds robbed the goalkeeper of the ball and shot into the corner of the net.
Within 10 minutes Sun had gone further ahead through Ron Cole who hit in a cross from the right.
Sun now pressed home their advantage and should have increased their lead just before the interval when they were awarded a penalty for hands.
Cole, usually reliable with spot kicks, hit the ball over the top via the crossbar.
