Could Sun be team of the year?

Sun Sports, and not past champions Leggatts Way Old Boys nor present title holders Kings Langley, could be the team of the year in the Premier Division of the Herts County League.
On Saturday Sun went to St Albans and pulled off a shock win by beating Marconi Instruments, who seven days earlier had inflicted on Leggatts Way their heaviest defeat for five seasons.
This was Sun very nearly at their best and had they won by a much heavier margin it would have been no more that they deserved.
Kicking against the slope in the first half Sun built up many fine attacks.
They took the lead after six minutes through Gerry Bunce, who, with Ron Lee proved a perpetual thorn in the Marconi side.
The Sun defence also played well and it was not until the 67th minute that Marconi managed to penetrate.
By then Sun had increased their lead in the 53rd minute through Terry Reynolds.
