Bass hits first hat-trick

Mercurial centre forward Phil Bass scored his first hat-trick of the season for Sun Sports on Saturday...and the man he has to thank for that is new colleague Terry Clark, whose pin pointed passes made his feat possible.
Sun had an early escape and this put them on their toes.
So much so, in fact, that they forced two corners before, after only nine minutes, Bass moved on to a Willis pass to open the scoring.
Clark showed that he can shoot by scoring the second, and it was not long before Bass rammed in the third.
Only then did Langley show any real promise, and two minutes from the interval Holmes bolstered their hopes with a well taken goal.
They carried their revival into the second half, and it was not long before Swann further reduced the deficit.
Bass, however, dashed Langley's hopes when he accepted a pass from Clark, and they never recovered.
