Sun worried about fixtures 1963/64 From Watford Observer
Herts County League club Sun Sports have expressed concern over the small number of matches which clubs have completed.
In a letter to the "Observer" the club comments:
"With the season at the midway stage many clubs in the Premier Division and Division One have yet to reach double figures in matches played."
Sun say they were only allotted one Premier Division game in December and they now have 21 first team games to complete.
The Reserves had three games during the month but still have 19 to play.
They point out that evening matches can be a big handicap to clubs that may have players doing shift work.
A Herts County League official had a reassurance for the club, however, he commented that with 19 Saturday's left to play most clubs would have no problems.
It was a normal occurrence for some clubs to play off a number of evening matches during the lighter nights, he added.
