Intermediate Cup win for Sun

Two goals apiece from John Matthews and Terry Reynolds carried Sun to victory in Saturday's Herts Intermediate Cup third round game against North Suburban League side Hadley.
Sun made a brisk start and took the lead after three minutes when Bob Davis pushed the ball through to Matthews who beat his man before firing home from 20 yards.
Sun's pressure was further rewarded in the 25th minute when Matthews made the most of a defensive slip to score the second.
Four minutes later, Wood reduced the arrears but Sun regained their three goal advantage three minutes later when a cross from Scutchings was headed into his own goal by Boxall.
Gray pulled another one back for Hadley but Reynolds made it 4-2 before the interval.
Hadley improved in the second period and using the long ball down the middle, Sun were pushed back on the defensive for long periods.
Hadley came right back into the game when Harmer scored from the penalty spot in the 69th minute and Sun's position suddenly looked precarious.
Sun had their second goal of the game disallowed but they gradually weathered the storm and Reynolds clinched matters four minutes from time.
