Sun Sports 2 Redbourn 0                            1965/66                                             HCL Prem

Revenge

Sun avenged a 3-2 defeat at Redbourn earlier in the season when they scored twice without reply to win Saturday's Premier Division game which was played in a downpour.
Territorially there was little to choose between the teams in the first half although Sun had the ball on the visitors goal line on one occasion and several of the players felt that it had crossed for a goal.
Nonetheless the interval arrived with the score sheet still blank.
In the second half Sun mastered the skidding ball better than the visitors and midway through the half their superior play was rewarded.
Peter Nicholson crossed from the left and Terry Reynolds flicked the ball home.
Sun got right on top in the last 20 minutes and the extra goal, scored by Ron Cole with the help of a deflection by a defender, was barely indicative of their ascendancy.
