Langley win on penalties
Sun supporters were furious after Langley had collected another two points in their pursuit of the Herts County League Premier Division championship on Tuesday night.
Two debatable penalty decisions had swung this game against their team just when a league "double" over Langley looked very much on.
Penalty No.1 came after 46 minutes, with the champions trailing 0-1.
Robin Veith tried to cross the ball from the right but only succeeded in sending it against the hand of Sun centre half Scutchings.
The referee pointed to the spot and Richard Wright drove in the equaliser.
Penalty No.2 came seven minutes later, Wright was obstructed by left back Barber and, after inspecting the spot where the incident took place, the referee awarded another spot kick.
Wing half Stratford gave the referee a shove and was booked in the ensuing argument, but Wright remained cool and made no mistake from the spot to put Langley ahead.
Luck was most certainly on Langley's side - but they deserved some of it after dominating the opening half only to fall behind to a goal from Sun's Paul Froud after 37 minutes.
It didn't desert them later on either!
Sun claimed a penalty for hands against Burdett in the 30th minute but the referee gave a free kick on the edge of the area after consulting his linesman.
