Bristol Evening Post 3 Sun Sports 3 1962/63 Gerry Callow Cup
Aggregate win for Sun
Although they drew 3-3 in the second leg of the Gerry Callow Cup at the County Ground, Bristol, on Saturday, Sun Sports won the trophy with an aggregate score of 9-4.
Sun overcame bad conditions to take a three goal lead before the interval but the Bristol Evening Post, despite losing their skipper, fought back to equalise in the second half.
Bristol City centre half Jack Connor refereed the match and team mates Gordon low and David Smith acted as linesmen.
At a luncheon after the game, Johnnie Swann, chairman of Sun Sports, presented the cup to the winning team.
