Buntingford Town 1 Sun Sports 3                          1967/68                                   HCL Prem

Sun's fourth away win

Strengthened by the return of Colin Brown, Sun Sports marked up their fourth away win in the
Premier Division on Saturday.
Sun showed no ill effects from the previous week's defeat by Bristol Siddeley and picked up the points with two goals from Trevor Howkins - his first for the club - and one from Bob Foster who was also making his first team debut.
Howkins gave Sun the lead after half an hour when he rammed home a cross from Ron Cole.
Foster added the second after Brown and Kevin Stratford had done the ground work and Sun were able to go in for the interval with a useful lead under their belts.
Buntingford showed they were not finished by pulling back a goal five minutes after the resumption but Sun had the last word in the 75th minute when Howkins beat the offside trap to run through and score easily.
Sun's win was particularly impressive in view of the fact that key forwards John Matthews and Terry Reynolds were still feeling the effects of injuries and were unable to turn out.
The only worry for Sun came when Cliff Langley was forced to visit the Peace Memorial Hospital on returning to Watford to have stitches put in a gashed knee.
