Bovingdon 0 Sun Sports 1                                   1961/62                                    HCL Prem

Winner in last four minutes

Sun's touch did not desert them on Saturday, but only just.
The solitary goal which gave them victory came in the last four minutes following an indirect free kick for obstruction from within the penalty area.
Scorer was Terry Hogan who moved up quickly from centre half to meet aggrieved Glyn East's free kick.
This single goal was poor reward for Sun who had always looked both more methodical and dangerous.
They should have had, on chances alone, at least three goals in each half.
Some credit here, however, must be given to the tenacity of the home defenders, who, collectively were of a higher standard then the Bovingdon forward line.
For Sun, Phil Bass got through an enormous amount of work.
He frequently probed openings for the Sun forwards but nothing came of them because of the indifferent markmanship which all too frequently found the Bovingdon goalkeeper's arms.
