Sun Sports 5 Leavesden Reserves 3 1965/66 Herts Intermediate Cup
Sun sew it up by half time
Sun Sports built up a 4-1 interval lead and continued to play attractive attacking football in the second half to make certain of victory in Saturday's Herts Intermediate Cup second round tie.
It took Sun, who have a 100% home record in the league, only six minutes to find the Leavesden net when Bunce converted a square pass from Reynolds.
In one of their rare attacks, Leavesden equalised through Axford who scored with a hard drive.
Ron Cole restored Sun's lead and 15 minutes later Scutchings added a third.
A foul in the area led to a penalty which Cole duly netted.
Early in the second half Bob Davis became a passenger after sustaining a ligament injury and the visitors began to attack more.
Shannon reduced the lead midway through the half but an unruffled Sun side added their fifth when Bunce scored.
Shannon added the visitors third and final goal.
