Sun Sports 1 Stansted 2 1960/61 HCL Prem
Sun are losing ground
After their exuberant start to the season, Sun Sports are now losing ground in the race for points.
But they cam console themselves with the knowledge that they are still playing attractive football and fighting hard all the way.
In the first half of their home match against Stansted on Saturday, Sun had the better of the exchanges, but could not turn their undoubted superiority into goals.
Eric Williams, Terry Willis, Phil Bass and Terry Hogan all went close.
Sun began the second half in promising fashion, but the wind was knocked out of their sails in the 53rd and 61st minutes.
The Sun did not resign themselves to defeat.
Within two minutes of their opponents second goal, Bass was rewarded for his hard work and his success brought the game to life again.
Hogan looked like saving the day when he got clear of the defence but his final shot was wide, and with his next effort he smacked the ball against the crossbar.
In the latter stages, Sun played into Stansted's hands by short passing and the visitors were given the chance to get back into the game.
