Bedfont & Feltham v Sun Sports 24th Sept 2016 FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Rd
Sun Sports are through to the next round of the FA Vase in spectacular fashion after going 4-0 up with only 28 minutes on the clock played.
Sun were on the score sheet courtesy of a Dom David cracker in only the second minute and he scored again after only 13 minutes gone to deal a huge confidence blow to the Bedfont & Feltham supporters and players. Chris Blunden found an opening to put another goal away three minutes later and David completed his hat trick before thirty minutes.
The Sun were in tip top form and were creating chances a plenty as the B&F keeper was certainly the most overworked player on the park!
Bedfont & Feltham managed to get a goal back just before half time but truth be told the game seemed already over as a contest
In the second half the Sun took their foot off the gas, whether it was to save fitness for the next match or to ease up on the opposition only manager Tim and the lads would know for sure.
Bedfont & Feltham were able to keep possession better in the second half and made a few chances of their own. But when they scored another goal to make it 4-2 it began to look like another Wembley (4-4) could be on the cards as the Bedfont based boys looked to gain confidence and gave it their all to try and pull another goal back to make a comeback.
Then Sun Sports had the chance to put more space between the teams when near the end of the match the Sun were awarded a penalty.
Liam James took the ball to take the kick to get his goal scoring off to a start this season but hit the ball down the middle for the keeper to save.
But more importantly the boys in yellow (although they played this match in red) won the tie and will travel to Peterborough for the next round of the FA Vase.
