Defeat for the Sun meant Paul Hobbs’ side slipped to second on Saturday after losing against Berkhamsted, though the game was overshadowed by Simon Fearon’s injury.
The game’s decisive goal came in the aftermath of that injury, and with Sun undoubtedly reeling from the loss of the forward, Josh Chamberlain snatched the only goal of the game.
Sun came closest to taking something from the game when Richard Pearce’s header was cleared on the line by Liam James.
On Tuesday Sun were beaten 3-0 at home by Harefield United and Hobbs’ side will look to return to winning ways when they travel to London Tigers tomorrow.
