Tring Athletic v Sun Sports                       25th February 2017                  SSML Premier

Sun Sports came away from Cow Lane on Saturday with all three points and the double over Tring Athletic this season.
Both sides had early opportunities but each keeper did well to hold on to the ball.
Tring seemed happy to lob the ball upfield which Gary Wallace and Scott Bonner mopped up with ease.
With Dom David, Joe Horwood, Damien Cruickshank and George Hobson all out through injury and Jack Johnson on a break, Clem Asante and Nick Holden were brought up from the reserves and both made the move up showing plenty of confidence,
From a Ryan McMahon free kick the Tring keeper palmed the ball out to Kyle Johnson who headed the ball back goal wards which was diverted by Andy Brennan towards Deji Ikusemori whose final header came off the post in a mini game of six yard area head tennis!
From there the ball then deflected back out to Kyle Johnson whose curling shot glided just over the crossbar.
For the first half The Sun were in full control of the game with Asante and Johnson working well together up front, each man strong enough to hold the ball up for the other.
Andy Brennan then threaded the perfect through ball to Kyle Johnson who ran from deep to latch onto the ball and guided the ball past the despairing Tring keeper.
The Tring fans were clearly frustrated at the lack of effort from their players and called out to claim "handball" more times than at an Arsenal match!
Near the end of the half Tring had a couple of close encounters which Sun keeper Matty Evans comfortably kept out.
The second half continued with Athletic having most of the possession but still not any shots on target, anything that did look to be dangerous to the Sun was cleared by some decent, hard but safe tackles from the Sun defence.
Two minutes from the end and Andy Brennan was brought down in the area for a penalty.
Up stepped Kerran Lataille who smashed the ball down the middle to give the Sun the three points.
