Holmer Green v Sun Sports    22nd March 2016    SSML Premier

Sun's new signings Dan Webb and Louis Bircham both made their debuts on Tuesday night away at Holmer Green.
Unfortunately it wasn't a great night for the Sun as for the second game in a row they started poor in the first half.
Ashley Lewis had the first decent chance of the night for the Sun which a powerful goal-bound shot which was blocked by a defender.
And again just like on Saturday it was 13 minutes into the match when they conceded a goal which deflected from Scott Bonner onto the post, wrong footing Ross Hampton as a Holmer forward slid in to whack the ball into the back of the net.
A few minutes later and Holmer scored a second with a perfectly lobbed ball although Hampton got a hand to the ball he couldn't stop it from going in.
Sun tried to come back into the match with louis Bircham hitting the ball from outside the area which was saved by the Holmer keeper getting down quickly to his right.
Bircham was involved again soon after receiving a pass from Brima Johnson as he beat one defender and cheekily nut-megged another before his shot went straight to the keeper.
Ross Hampton was called on to make a couple of important blocks as the half came to a close but just before half time Green scored their third of the match with a fantastic solo effort picking the ball up from just inside the half way line and beating three Sun players before slotting the ball calmly past Ross Hampton.
The Boys in Yellow came out for the second half and tried to reduce the deficit as they pressured Green for the whole of the half.
Kyle Johnson had the first chance of the second half for Sun but his shot went high, wide and certainly not handsomely over the bar.
Holmer managed to lob keeper Hampton yet again and the ball hit the upright and luckily bounced back to him.
Sun managed to get a goal back with twenty minutes to go thanks to a debut goal for Louis Bircham who's shot went over the keeper and into the back of the net.
Bircham nearly pulled another goal back which would have made for an exciting finale to the match but the goal was disallowed due to Ashley Lewis fouling the Holmer keeper.
Holmer finished the match on a high when they scored a fourth goal to help them move up to seventh place.
