Buntingford 2 Sun Sports 0 1958/59 HCL Div One
Sun passes were too short
In a game of two parts, Buntingford had the better of things in the first half and scored twice.
After the interval it was Sun's turn to dictate the play, but they failed to score.
Earlier in the season, Sun beat Buntingford 4-0, but the East Herts side are a different proposition on their own pitch.
They employed swinging passes while Sun settled for a shorter game, which proved more costly when it broke down.
Sun made a better show when they kicked against the slope after the interval.
Roy Brown had bad luck when a hard shot was deflected onto the crossbar by a defender.
Brown also brought the best out of home keeper with a snap shot late in the game.
Others to go close for Sun were Terry Willis and Brian Seamons.
